This is one of the most beautiful and fantastic caves to explore in our country. The entire complex is more than 7km as discovered to this day. So far only 700m of the caves have been suited for tourist visits. They are rich in both the archaelogical, geomorphological and paleonthological remains. It is also here where the largest findings of the cave bear in Croatia were found. The caves are located at the southern part of the Velebit Nature Park. Thousands of years of slow water dripping created marvelous dripstones out of travertine and limestone sediments. However, even a careless touch can permanently damage these natural works of art, so please make sure you don't touch them as they are extremely fragile. We recommend that you wear shoes that have a good grip in slippery conditions since the floor can be wet. Also the caves are at the constant temperature of 5°C (41°F) for the lower cave and 8° (46°) for the upper cave, so dress accordingly.
These tours are organized individually according to client's wishes, so please contact our agents to get a custom made offer.
