Kornati archipelago is one of the most famous locations in Croatia. It consists of around 140 islands and islets, and with 35 kilometres in length and an area of about 320 square kilometres, it is the densest Mediterranean archipelago. The name Kornati is derived from the Italian name "Isole Incoronate" which means "Crowned Islands". To reach this beautiful must-see natural wonder, you can either rent a boat or book an organized one-day excursion from Zadar. On our guided tour you will visit the ruins of a medieval fortress Tureta and a 12th century church of Our Lady of Tarac located on island Kornat, the biggest island of the archipelago. The second stop will be on the nearby island Levrnaka, with the only sand beach in the park.
